André Botha
|
André was born and bred in the heart of the flower paradise, Namaqualand in the little town of Kamieskroon. Here with the inspiration of his father, who was a nature lover and keen photografer, he inherited his passion for the great outdoors. He started off his career as a professional soldier in the Parachute Batallion of the South African Defence Force, where he chased his adventurous dreams. In 1988 he left the military and started a career in the financial services world. But in 1995 he undertook his first off road expedition in the Skeleton Coast and Namib Desert areas of Namibia. Soon thereafter he entered the 4x4 Driver Training arena. Eversince he has established Just 4x4 Adventures and Riverbank Off Road Academy. As owner he is responsible for the day-to-day running of the company, but his passion is to constantly explore new destinations and wilderness ares. |

Jannie du Plessis

Christo Crous
|
Jannie is most probably the most experienced offroader in South Africa. He bought his 1st 4x4 vehicle way back in 1954. He owned an automotive business until his retirement in 2004. He was one of the organizers/instructors on the well known Camel Trophy Challenge that was run for many years. He has also travelled extensively through all the Southern African countries. He was also one of the founder members of the Continental Off Road Academies in the late 70's, early 80's. He succesfully operated the only 4x4 academy in central South Africa for almost 20 years, until Andre took over from him in 2005 and the name changed to Riverbank Off Road Academy. Today Jannie is still involved as mentor, 4x4 instructor and keeping watchful eye over the rest of us.
